Herman Camacho conducts interviews and investigations as a consultant for the Institute of Analytic Interviewing. He is also a seminar speaker for training courses for the Institute of Analytic Interviewing. Herman attended California State Fullerton University where he graduated and obtained an Associates of Science degree in Human Sociology.
Herman is a current Law Enforcement officer with 19 years of experience. He worked with California State Police, Compton Police Department until the city merged with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Herman is currently assigned as a senior detective investigating all types of crimes against persons and property. His current assignment consists of high profile investigations, major crimes, bank robberies, kidnaps, and series style of investigations.
Throughout his experience, he has worked in an undercover capacity while interviewing inmates in a custody environment. His undercover investigations consist of street gangs, organized motorcycle gangs, custody style investigations, and organized Central-America cargo gangs. He also conducts street Intel gathering from various types of gang members.
As a qualified trainer he instructs other detectives on updated techniques involving interviews, rapport building, preparation for interviews, statement analysis, micro-expressions and cyber security.
Herman also works in the private sector as an Executive Team Leader – Asset Protection for Risk Control Strategies in the Los Angeles area. Herman is a team leaders were he conducts mobile and static surveillance on employee’s being investigated. Herman is also an instructor for employee termination interviewing techniques, criminal apprehension techniques.
Herman has attended several courses on interviewing techniques and in March of 2007 he became a member of the Institute of Analytic Interviewing family. Herman has attended several other courses from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
